This study proposes a numerical method to evaluate unsteady uplift force on buildings during tsunami and flood events. By coupling the Moving Particle Semi-implicit(MPS) method with a 2D seepage analysis, the model tracks infiltration via a pressure-gradient-dependent front and a wetting function. This approach effectively evaluates uplift force in hydraulic experiments involving micro-gaps between structure and flume. Validation against exact solutions and experimental data demonstrates high precision in static cases and good agreement in dynamic time-histories. The method provides a robust method for uplift force evaluation necessary in predicting structural sliding in disaster mitigation.
