The low motivation and learning outcomes of students in hydrocarbon materials are caused by learning that is still lacking in variety and minimal use of interactive media. This study aims to determine the differences in learning motivation, learning outcomes, and the relationship between motivation and student learning outcomes learned by the application of the Project Based Learning and Inquiry Based Learning model assisted by kahoot media on hydrocarbon materials. This study uses a quantitative method with a true experiment type. The sample consisted of two classes with a total of 68 students in grade XI at MAN 1 Medan, namely experimental class I taught with the PjBL model and experimental class II with the IBL model. The data analysis technique used the Independent Sample t-test and Pearson Correlation with SPSS 26. The results of the study show that the average learning motivation of students, the average learning outcomes of students in the PjBL class are higher than those of the IBL class. In addition, there is a linear and significant correlation between learning motivation and learning outcomes in both classes. Thus, the kahoot-assisted PjBL model is more effective in increasing students' motivation and learning outcomes on hydrocarbon materials.
