Household waste management in RT 01, Silegi Hamlet, Lebakwangi Village, Pagedongan District, Banjarnegara Regency, continues to face challenges due to limited waste-sorting practices and inadequate waste management facilities. This community education program aimed to improve residents’ knowledge and skills in waste management through waste sorting, compost production, and ecobrick-making. The program targeted 135 households, with 53 participants directly involved in the activities. The implementation methods included observation, socialization, training, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation. The results demonstrated improved community understanding and practical skills in sorting waste, processing organic waste using gallon-based composters, and utilizing plastic waste to produce ecobricks. This program represents an initial step toward promoting participatory, household-based, and sustainable waste management practices in the community.
