This article focuses on evaluating the efficiency of agricultural entrepreneurship by leveraging economic development potential—a factor that facilitates the attraction of financial resources, cost minimization, and increased profitability, thereby influencing the enterprise's competitiveness and financial stability. The components of the economic potential of agricultural business entities have been substantiated and their roles defined; these components interact closely, complement one another, and are formed in mutual unity, and they can be effectively realized only through their integrated use as elements of the aggregate potential of a holistic system. Given the specific nature of the agricultural sector, the economic potential management system must be adaptive, flexible, and geared toward timely responses to changes in the external environment; this enables the minimization of risks and the maximization of the agricultural enterprise's opportunities to achieve its strategic goals—namely, ensuring operational profitability. The operational efficiency of agricultural business entities was assessed based on performance indicators of small, medium, and large enterprises. It was concluded that profit serves as a criterion for the efficiency of business entities and acts as an internal source of their financial potential, ensuring financial stability, development, and competitiveness. The impact of modern challenges on the operational efficiency of agricultural enterprises has been analyzed, and the need to shift approaches to managing economic potential has been identified, taking into account economic development trends amidst rising production risks and threats within an unstable economic environment. The ability of agricultural business entities to effectively manage available resources, as well as their capacity to respond flexibly to existing risks and changes in the economic environment, constitutes a crucial component of entrepreneurial efficiency. State support for the sector plays a significant role in realizing the economic potential of agricultural entrepreneurship, enhancing operational efficiency amidst current threats and risks.
