This article examines the rationale for selecting a process overpass reconstruction option based on the results of a technical survey and a calculated assessment of the structural load-bearing capacity. The object of the study is the metal overpass of the Alekseevskaya booster pumping station, designed to accommodate process pipelines and cable trays. The study analyzed the actual technical condition of the structure, identifying the main defects and damage to the structural elements, including corrosion damage, deviations of elements from their design positions, eccentric support of columns on pile foundations, defects in welded joints, and unequal strength assembly joints. It was established that the facility reconstruction entails changes in process loads, an increase in the upper tier's elevation, and the need to verify the load-bearing capacity of the existing structures under new operating conditions. The calculated assessment was performed using the SCAD Office software package, taking into account permanent, climatic, and process loads. A comparison of the technical survey and calculation data revealed that adapting the existing overpass to the new operating conditions will require a significant amount of dismantling and reinforcement work. The conclusion is substantiated that the most rational reconstruction option is dismantling the existing overpass's above-ground section and constructing a new metal structure designed to withstand current operational conditions. The results obtained can be used in the reconstruction of similar facilities in the oil and gas industry.
