Despite the high biodiversity of Panama, the country’s phasmid fauna remains incompletely documented. A new stick insect of the family Prisopodidae is described from the Chagres National Park, Panama Province, Panama. Damasippus harrisonorum Valero & Forni, sp. nov. is described from males and females. Illustrations of both sexes and the phallic organ of the male are given, as well as photographs of their habitat. COI barcode sequences are provided for three specimens and compared with those available for the genus. An updated identification key to all known species of Damasippus is provided, bringing the genus to seventeen species.
