The application-based transportation industry in Indonesia, especially online motorcycle taxis (ojol) such as Gojek, has brought significant changes to the world of work, especially in big cities such as Samarinda. Although Gojek drivers have the opportunity to earn income, they also face challenges that impact their well-being. This study aims to reveal the economic and health challenges faced by Gojek drivers in Samarinda. The research method used is qualitative with semi-structured and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study show that Gojek drivers experience fluctuations in income that is insufficient to meet their living needs, as well as health problems due to long working hours and exposure to pollution. This study is expected to provide a more complete picture of the conditions of online motorcycle taxi workers in Indonesia and provide recommendations to improve their welfare.
