The article examines some aspects of the issue of the formation of methodological competence of future primary school teachers in a pedagogical college through the analysis and clarification of the concept of "methodical competence", "methodical competence of a future primary school teacher", the possibilities of the educational environment of the pedagogical college in the research process. The significance of methodical competence, which directs the vector of the individual trajectory of quality professional and pedagogical training of the future primary school teacher as an agent of change, competitive in the market of educational services, capable of effectively organizing the educational process, ready to implement innovations, strategies of critical and creative thinking, building a competence model of learning, has been updated. For terminological clarity, the meaning of the concept of "methodical competence" was analyzed and clarified, which allowed to determine the content of the construct "methodical competence of the future primary school teacher" and the author's position regarding its definition. In the process of the conducted analytical activity, it was concluded that scientists consider methodical competence as a systematic personal education, as a system of scientific, psychological, pedagogical, subject knowledge and professional and methodical skills, a set of knowledge, skills, practical experience and existing pedagogical abilities. It has been found that the educational process of forming methodical competence involves a carefully thought-out system and effective methods of training the future teacher of primary classes, in particular in the environment of a pedagogical college, in the projection of their assessment through the prism of professional significance, for solving methodical tasks and reflecting on one's own professional and pedagogical activity. The concept of "methodical competence of the future primary school teacher" is interpreted as a holistic, integrative personal and professional education that accumulates a set of professional-pedagogical, general didactic and methodical knowledge, skills, competencies, experience acquired during professional training in the educational process of a pedagogical college.
