Purpose. The problem of criminal threats to traditional Russian spiritual and moral values is multifaceted. In the legal dimension, in the context of security threats — conditions and factors that create a direct or indirect possibility of causing damage to the national interests of the Russian Federation the analysis of the actions of specific subjects (dissemination of negative information, abuse of rights, creation of destructive groups and communities, etc.) becomes particularly relevant. Thus, this study is aimed at identifying internal threats to the value sphere of Russian society. Methodology: general scientific (analysis, synthesis, comparison, description) and special methods of cognition. Conclusions. It has been proven that the essence of criminal threats comes down to the generation and support of destructive ideological influence on the socio-psychological (spiritual) safety of citizens. A list of threatening actions is formulated, as well as crimes associated with such influence. The state and trends in the dynamics of criminal threats to traditional values at the present stage have been established. Scientific and practical relevance. The article is conceptual in nature and forms guidelines for the long-term provision of spiritual security as a significant component of Russia’s national security.
