Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes in male Alpine Blue butterfly, suggesting unique chromosomal structure.
<ns7:p>We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of <ns7:italic>Agriades orbitulus</ns7:italic> (Alpine Blue; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Lycaenidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 520.38 megabases and 521.74 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.85%) is scaffolded into 23 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.4 kilobases.</ns7:p>
