Analysis reveals how surface roughness affects fluidity in metal powders using fdm and fff processes.
A dependence study of the surface roughness of products is discussed, using the example of a part of the «powder supply shaft» type manufactured using the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) / FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) technology of additive manufacturing. A study of the properties and selection of engineering plastics PLA and PETG is considered. Based on the results of the work performed, the roughness values of samples manufactured by the FDM technology at different angles of construction and heights of layers were obtained, as well as data on the effect of the roughness of printed products on the fluidity of metal powder compositions. Having these obtained values, we can consider the possibility of manufacturing products by the FDM technology with designed-in roughness parameters.
