The indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) TFT technology was applied to realize a next generation capacitive fingerprint sensor. Implementing a novel active pixel architecture in combination with a proprietary Read Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC), a sensing array of 1600 × 1500 pixels with 500ppi resolution has been successfully realized and it can deliver outstanding quality fingerprint image.
