Analysis projects future accident trends in Poland and Montenegro, suggesting road safety improvements are vital.
Despite a general decrease in recent years, road traffic accidents remain a major public safety concern in Poland and Montenegro. Accident rates were certainly influenced by the COVID-19 epidemic, but the continued frequency of these incidents highlights the critical need for preventative actions to further improve road safety. The purpose of this study is to project how many traffic accidents will occur in Poland and Montenegro between 2024 and 2030. In order to do this, Monstat Statistics and the Polish Police provided historical data on the number of accidents that occurred each year. In order to provide projections for the adesignated time frame, these datasets were further examined using certain neural network models. The results point to a possible near-term stability in the number of traffic accidents. This forecast is impacted by a number of variables, including a steady rise in car ownership and continued expenditures in road infrastructure, such as the building of new motorways and roads. It is important to recognize that the inherent unpredictability in data sampling utilized for model training, testing, and validation limits the accuracy of these forecasts.
