The influence of heat treatment modes on the mechanical properties and structure of cast and forged billets made of 20GML steel has been investigated. It is shown that the change in the normalization temperature has a considerable effect on the mechanical properties and impact strength of cast blanks. Optimal modes of heat treatment of 20GML steel billets were selected.
