Research investigates verbal aggressiveness in Greek education, revealing its prevalence in adolescents and implications for intervention.
The purpose of the research is to examine the main factors and the extent of use of verbal aggressiveness in the Greek Educational System. 639 people participated in the research. The use of verbal aggressiveness was low but not negligible and seems to be maximized in adolescence. It was found that everyone potentially has a predisposition to use verbal aggressive messages depending on the circumstances. In contrast, victims of verbal attacks are differentiated. People who use verbal aggressiveness are few and they continue to use it towards already targeted people. Thus, the key to dealing with this phenomenon is not the intensity but timely and appropriate action.
