The purpose of this paper is to study the participation of primary education teachers in special education training programs. The necessity of research emerges from the significant role played by the knowledge, skills and attitudes of general education teachers in the management of a classroom with students with Special Educational Needs. At the methodological level, the sample survey was utilized using the questionnaire as a data collection tool. The research sample consists of 110 primary school teachers. Their participation in special education and training programs seems to be based on factors related to i) the improvement of their educational work, ii) the acquisition of knowledge and skills in special education, iii) the improvement of their job position, and iv) for personal and social reasons. In total, the four factors explain 65.9% of the data variability.
