he present research focuses on the teaching strategies used by teachers in the teaching of Greek as a second / foreign language. The aim is to identify teachers" teaching strategies and, accordingly, the degree to which students respond to them. To conduct this, a case study was applied and the techniques of observation, questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with teachers were used to collect data.Τhe results showed that during the language courses, the teachers under study mainly followed strategies based on traditional approaches (using monologue, structural exercises) and questions and answers, while students found it very difficult to participate in learning processes.
