The aim of the study is to examine the system of training mid-level medical personnel in the Russian Federation; to identify existing pressing problems and to propose recommendations for their solution. The scientific novelty of the research lies in systematizing existing and identifying new approaches to ensuring the quality of secondary medical education. As a result of the study, a comprehensive set of measures to improve the system of training mid-level medical personnel has been proposed.
