Study finds explosive pressing enhances thermomechanical properties in UHMWPE composites, suggesting improved material strength.
The influence of fillers: coke-graphite powder and β-sialon on the crystalline structure and thermomechanical properties of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene after explosive pressing of powder composite mixtures was studied using X-ray diffraction and thermomechanical analysis methods. The studies were conducted with the aim of developing a technology for explosive pressing of polymeric materials with increased strength and antifriction properties.
