Comparative analysis reveals production efficiency gaps between agricultural organizations and processing enterprises.
The article compares the production of products from grain crops in agricultural organizations and at processing enterprises in the Republic of Mordovia. Comparative analysis showed that flour production is more efficient in agricultural organizations (profitability is higher by 11.2 percentage points). The production of cereals and bakery and flour confectionery products is distinguished by a wider range of finished products and a variety of technological processes, the equipment used, therefore it is more efficient at specialized processing enterprises (profitability is higher by 3.9 percentage points and 9.2 percentage points). The price increase for 2021-2023 in processing organizations was lower than in agricultural organizations, which confirms the need to develop processing production in agricultural organizations and bring finished grain products to the consumer instead of selling raw grain.
