Greenhouses play a key role in ensuring food security by promoting import substitution. To analyze the effectiveness of vegetable growing of protected soil, a quartile analysis was used, which showed a decrease in the scope of profitability by 3.28 percentage points, at the production cost of 1 kg of vegetables - by 146.35 thousand rubles. for the period 2019-2023. To increase the production of fresh vegetables, it is necessary to reduce production costs, improve product quality, improve export-import policy, and introduce new technologies.
