Case report shows decreased intracranial pressure in a child with pneumocephalus, indicating oxygen therapy effectiveness.
Pneumocephalus following head trauma can result in elevated intracranial pressure. We here report the clinical details of a child with middle cranial fossa fracture and pneumocephalus who responded to oxygen therapy using a non-rebreathing mask. Treatment with 100% oxygen will help in early resorption of air from the pneumocephalus.
