Demonstrates low insertion loss of ~0.82 dB and a bandwidth over 67 GHz in a micro-transfer printed modulator.
We demonstrate a high-speed Mach-Zehnder modulator based on micro-transfer printed thin-film lithium tantalate on Si 3 N 4 , achieving an insertion loss of ~0.82 dB, an electro-optic bandwidth of >67 GHz, and modulation rates up to 250 Gbit/s.
