Analysis of thinning impacts on cordwood production in yellow-poplar stands, suggesting future evaluations may differ.
Ten years of records of growth of individual trees and stands are presented here for high and low thinnings of two intensities in 30-year-old stands of yellow-poplar and associated species. Conclusions drawn at this time apply only to cordwood production and may be subject to different interpretation later when board-foot volumes can be measured and evaluated.
