In 2014 – 2019, an excavation was conducted in the community settlement of H aspin in the Golan Heights (Permit Nos. A-7078, A-7397, A-7644, A-7990, A-8209, A-8518; map ref. 2743/7503; Fig. 1), within the framework of the ‘Synagogues in the Golan: Education and Community’ project. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Golan Regional Council, was directed by O. Zingboym and A. Kleiner, with the assistance of R. Assis and A. Kleiner (area supervision), Y. Yaakobi (administration), R. Mishayev and R. Liran (surveying), A. Kleiner (photogrammetry), K. Covello-Paran (scientific guidance), M. Osband (pottery), H. Tahan-Rosen (pottery drawing), Y. Gorin-Rosen (glass), D. Syon and D.T. Ariel (numismatics; appendix) and I. Reznitsky (metallurgical laboratories), as well as students from the Talmud Torah Golani and Golan schools at H aspin.
