The objective of the study is to describe the influence of virtual platforms on the development of English skills among university students. Methodology: The research was approached from a quantitative perspective with a correlational design, using Pearson's correlation coefficient. The unit of analysis consisted of university students majoring in tourism, selected through non-probabilistic sampling. Results: A linear correlation was identified between the categorical variables by comparing the random probability of the event and the pre-established significance level for the test between both factors, such that when p ≤ 0.05, the null hypothesis of ρ=0 was rejected. It was observed that 33% of the students frequently use e-learning and b-learning platforms. Conclusions: The four English language skills analyzed show significant learning outcomes thanks to the use of virtual platforms.
