The article analyzes the dynamics of delivery of mandatory copies (MC) of documents to the Book Chamber of Ukraine in the period 2019—2023, which was marked by crisis phenomena, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the full-scale invasion of the RF. The influence of crisis factors and insurmountable circumstances of the selected chronological period on the specifics of the functioning of the book publishing industry, the delivery of mandatory copies to the Book Chamber of Ukraine, and publishers' reporting is clarified. In order to determine the dynamics of the receipt of mandatory copies, the indicators of the delivery of mandatory copies of non-periodical, periodical and continuing editions were considered in comparison with the previous year. Aspects of compliance by publishers with the requirements of domestic legislation regarding sending reports in the form N 1-B (books) (quarterly) and N 1-B (media) (semi-annual) in the specified period were analyzed. It was concluded that the general difficult situation in Ukraine also affected the publishing industry, in particular, there were forced changes in the preparation and release of publications. At the same time, it follows from the given statistical data that in the second year of the war, as well as in the second year of the pandemic, the number of MCs delivered to the Book Chamber of Ukraine increased.
