The article examines the role of the oil and gas industry in the economic development of Kazakhstan. The authors analyze the impact of the oil and gas sector on the main indicators of the country's economy. Based on data and statistics, the authors of the article consider the importance of the oil and gas sector as the main driving factor of economic growth in Kazakhstan. The challenges and opportunities associated with the development of this industry are also considered, including issues of reducing dependence on oil revenues and economic diversification. In general, the article is an analytical review of the current situation and prospects for the development of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan.
