This project analyzes the tomb of prince Shoshenq D in Memphis, highlighting its funerary material and connections to other major sites.
A new project concerning the Third Intermediate Period was launched in 2016. Its aim is to study and publish the tomb of the high priest of Ptah and prince Shoshenq D, son of Osorkon II. The tomb was discovered in 1942 alongside the enclosure of Ptah temple in Memphis. Several iconographical features of this monument can be compared to the Theban and Tanite documentation. Its funerary material is also particularly interesting as it comes from one of the rare elite unplundered tombs of this time.
