The article considers the historical context for the emergence of wooden Art Nouveau in the late 19th - early 20th century in the city of Buzuluk, Orenburg Region. Analysis of the architectural decoration on the facades of the wooden buildings reveals characteristic compositional and artistic features inherent in provincial Art Nouveau and their stylistic features as a case of peculiar interpretation of the style in the Russian provinces.
