The article presents a brief analysis of the current state of school physics education and training of a physics teacher at a university in Kyrgyzstan, as well as an overview of a number of studies on the theory and methodology of teaching physics, carried out by domestic and Russian scientists. The contradictions that cause the emergence of problems that impede the improvement of the quality of physics education in the country are highlighted and the need to determine, on the basis of these contradictions, problems that require urgent solutions and the relevance of scientific research devoted to them is justified; A specific example of the formulation of one of the above-mentioned problems is given.
