This study aims to derive the differences and analyze the impact of universal design principles on habitability by residents' characteristic types of public rental housing. As a result of the ttest and ANOVA, habitability was higher for women than men and lower for stable occupations.Intention of continuous residence tended to be high in the long period of residence and the elderly, the disabled, residents with diseases, low-income, small-area units, and separated-one room types. As a result of PLS-regression, usually, it showed a positive relationship with convenience (X5) and a sense of community (X9) and a negative relationship with easy-to-remodel outdoor space and facilities (X3_1) and the unit (X3_2).There are differences between men and women in exchange and participation (X6), and the higher income group shows a higher level of demand for safety (X1) and crime prevention (X4), but the sense of community was negative.Young people showed a negative relationship in safety and preference (X7), middle and aged people in exchange and participation, and the elderly and disabled in safety. The group with more than six years of residence showed a negative relationship with most physical and social factors. From the above results, it is necessary to consider the life pattern of the resident who has no choice but to live.First, it is suggested that outdoor spaces, units, and supply be improved by raising residents' expectations.
