he research is devoted to the phenomenon of intertextuality, the article focuses on the intertextuality of a special type of media text - the news text of electronic media. The author proves that intertextual connections are realized in all structural parts of the news text, from the title to the final block. As a result of the work, it was also revealed that intertextual interactions through quotations, references to other sources, mentions of events or heroes of previous publications serve not only for the reliability and interpretation of texts, but also fulfill the pragmatic tasks of media editorials. The author also examines the intersection of the concepts of "intertextuality", "precedent" and "hypertextuality". The study of the features of the implementation and functioning of electronic media in the news text allows us to identify the mechanisms of information reality formation and the peculiarities of the perception of news by the modern reader. Thus, it was proved that even such a short form of journalistic material as a news text is a complex multi-layered phenomenon of intertextual interactions.
