The paper aimed to explore the clinical value of chorionic gonadotropin and progesterone combined with transvaginal ultrasound in the diagnosis of threatened abortion. A total of 100 invalids with suspected threatened abortion who were admitted to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the author's hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were clinically recruited as observational research subjects. A total of 100 healthy pregnant women undergoing prenatal check-ups in this hospital during the same period were recruited as the control group. All invalids voluntarily participated in the study and signed informed consent. The proportion of patients with vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain symptoms in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05), and there was no distinguish in other general data (P > 0.05). The serum hCG and progesterone levels in the observation group were lower than the control group (P < 0.05). The RI and ACT of the observation group were higher than the control group (P < 0.05), and the PSV of the observation group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). The diameter of the gestational sac in the observation group was smaller than the control group (P < 0.05), and the diameter of the yolk sac in the observation group was larger than the control group (P < 0.05). The sensitivity of transvaginal ultrasound examination was lower than that of serum hCG and progesterone indicators alone (P < 0.05), and there was no distinguish in the specificity and area under the ROC curve of the three examinations (P > 0.05). Serum chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and progesterone combined with transvaginal ultrasound examination have significant clinical value in diagnosing threatened abortion. This multimodal diagnostic method is more effective in improving the sensitivity and specificity of diagnosis than a single detection method.
