The efficiency of meat production of Arbor Acres cross broilers at a cage keeping method

Currently, poultry farming is one of the most promising areas in animal breeding due to the lowest costs of feed, finance and labor per unit of production with high reproduction, payback and profitability. The article contains the findings of the research of the efficiency of meat production of Arbor Acres cross broilers at the cage keeping method. Experimental studies were conducted in 2022-2023 in JSC "Lindovskaya poultry farm - breeding plant", located in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The article investigated indicators of change in live weight of broilers, their safety, feed consumption and its conversion, slaughter parameters and sorting of carcasses, meat output per 1 m2 of the production area. The comparison characterization was given and the economic viability of meat production was computed. It was established that the live weight and safety of broiler chickens corresponds to and is greater than the standard, and the stock disposal, feed consumption and conversion were less. At calculation of economic efficiency it was established that at the given technology of keeping of chickens-broilers the profit for 1 kg of realized production makes 49.,0 rubles, profitability of production is at the level of 39.5 %.
