16‐2: High‐performance holographic waveguide based on polarization volume grating for head‐up displays

This paper introduces an AR‐HUD system based on a polarization volume grating (PVG) waveguide. The PVG waveguide is optimized to achieve a uniform exit pupil. To verify its performance, an AR‐HUD display system was constructed. The display system achieves a 10×5°field of view at an exit pupil distance of 300mm, boasting a light efficiency of 5.02% and a contrast ratio of 21:1.
