The degital economy in developing countries is experiencing significant growth, driven by the increasing adoption of e-commerce. Consumers are increasingly using online shopping, often via mobile phones. Local e-commerce platforms are emerging to meet specific consumer needs. However, logistical and infrastructure challenges persist, particularly around delivery and payments. Some governments support the sector through favorable policies, tax incentives and tailored regulations. The electronic economy also contributes to financial inclusion by offering digital services to unbanked populations. This paper discusses the current situation of the state of the electronic economy in developing countries in a comparative manner by discussing the initiatives that aim to overcome the specific challenges of each national context of the selected countries
