The study aimed to measure the relationship between emotional deprivation and alexithymia among secondary school students. The Emotional Deprivation Scale by Aisha Solbi (2017) and the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) were administered to 73 male and female students in secondary education. The study concluded that the research sample does not exhibit emotional deprivation or alexithymia, and that there is a weak positive relationship between the study variables. The study found differences in the relationship between emotional deprivation and alexithymia according to gender, favoring males.
