The article analyzes the process of interpretation of song folklore as an attribute of spiritual culture in the pedagogical activity of future music teachers. For this purpose, the main concepts of musical and song interpretation, which are presented in the scientific and pedagogical studies of a number of scientists, were studied. In the article, an attempt was made to trace the relationship between the methodology of the modern theory of song folklore (cultural theories, the theory of linguistic polysystem, etc.) and the ability to transfer the methods of musical communication into the field of pedagogical practice. The relevance of the given problem is further confirmed by the fact that the personal system of spiritual values of the future music teacher significantly affects the general cultural aspect of personality development in a wide range of artistic values of song folklore. Thus, the use of song folklore in pedagogical activity has many positive consequences. First of all, it contributes to the development of students' speech culture. Using folk songs helps children learn to express their thoughts and feelings through music, making their speech emotional and eloquent. In addition, the use of song folklore helps children develop a worldview. Pupils can learn folk traditions, history and culture of their people with the help of songs. This contributes to the formation of their identity and understanding of the importance of preserving national values. A music teacher should use bright and deeply folk sources to reach the heights of imagery and beauty in the interpretation of folk songs. An important aspect of research is understanding the role and meaning of song in a cultural context. The song reflects national culture, traditions and values, therefore its correct interpretation is key to preserving the national heritage.
