In Microwave communication systems and radar systems, Filter (bandpass filter) plays a major role. Bandpass filters allow some certain range of frequencies and attenuate signals outside of the band range. There are several ways to design microwave filters such as coaxial, waveguide, strip line and microstrips. Among these parallel coupled microstrips are widely used due to their simple design structure and easy of fabrication. In this study, we have crafted a parallel-coupled microstrip bandpass filter with a midpoint frequency of 15 GHz. It features a fifth- order design and maintains a low passband ripple of 0.5 dB. This band pass filter is constructed on an RO3010 substrate and is versatile in its application, finding utility in wireless communication systems, satellite communication and radar systems.
