Digitalization of Legal Education: Problems and Prospects

The paper analyzes the current state of affairs, identifies the difficulties and opportunities associated with digitalization, and focuses on changes in the legal profession due to rapid progress in technology. The author points to significant transformations in teaching methods since the late 1990s and the acceleration of these changes during the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the main characteristics of digitalization, such as extensive access to information, constant availability of educational resources and flexible learning schedules. Within the framework of the Russian education sector, the positive and negative sides of this process are considered, paying attention to the need to adapt curricula to new digital realities and prepare a new generation of lawyers ready to work in the digital economy. -
