This analysis identifies leading sectors that impact labor absorption in North Lampung, suggesting employment strategies.
This study aims to identify the leading economic sectors in North Lampung Regency and analyze how much their ability to absorb labor. The issue of employment is an important issue in regional economic development, where the high unemployment rate is a challenge that must be addressed immediately. For this reason, strengthening the leading sector is a key strategy in creating jobs and improving people's welfare. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with secondary data obtained from the official publication of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the 2019-2024 period. The analysis methods used include Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Shift Share, Klassen Typology, and Labor Ratio (RTK). The results of the analysis show that there are six leading sectors in North Lampung Regency. However, not all leading sectors have high labor absorption. The Trade Sector is recorded as a sector with a more optimal labor absorption ratio than other leading sectors, even though the Trade Sector is not a leading sector.
