Simulation model demonstrates enhanced charging by reducing output current disturbances in electric vehicles.
Using the low voltage from electric vehicle (EV) off-board DC quick battery charges, our study presents a PID controller simulation model that powers modular three-phase interleaved converters. This post's objective is to examine the impact of current disturbances on electric vehicle batteries and to provide a PID controller to enhance the decrease in output current quality. The charging system can convert grid power to a common DC bus voltage with a slightly adjustable level thanks to the AC/DC interleaved three-phase active rectifier, which is composed of three standard commercial three-phase converter modules. For charging the battery, a modular interleaved DC/DC converter is used, which has three identical three-phase modules connected in parallel. This design suggests that fast, high-power electric car charging stations use economical, standardized, and generally recognized three-phase power modules. This would help to promote the further expansion of environmentally friendly transportation. Consequently, we are primarily aiming to reduce the ripples in the output current.
