This qualitative analysis reveals how Islamic education policies adapt to digitalization and competency-based learning disruptions.
This study examines the adaptive transformation of Islamic education policies carried out by the Ministry of Religion after the implementation of the Freedom of Learning policy. This study highlights how Islamic education regulations adapt to learning disruptions triggered by digitalization, institutional autonomy, and paradigm shifts towards competency-based learning. This research uses a qualitative approach based on policy analysis through a review of literature, ministry regulations, and strategic documents. The results of the study show that the adaptive policy of the Ministry of Religion emphasizes the integration between general education and Islam, the application of digital pedagogy, and the strengthening of Islamic character values in the midst of changes in the learning system. It was concluded that the sustainability of this transformation requires consistent synchronization between national policies and the institutional characteristics of Islamic education under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
