This review highlights ultrasonic vibrations' role in enhancing permanent joints production, especially welded and soldered types.
The review of the current investigation state concerning the intensification of production processes of permanent joints by ultrasonic vibrations is presented. The work is divided into two parts according to principles of ultrasonic exposure. In the first part of the work, nondetachable joints obtained as a result of the ultrasonic effect on a connecting liquid state material are considered: welded, soldered and glued. The second part is devoted to the joints for which the ultrasonic solid-state processing is carried out: rivet, press and products obtained by additive technologies that allow one to replace the process of assembling a joint from several parts with layer-by-layer synthesis of the entire unit.
