Ab initio study reveals binding energy differences in 8 Li and 8 He nuclei, highlighting implications based on experimental data.
Within the framework of the canonical ab initio approach – the No-Core Shell Model (NCSM) – the binding energies of nuclei are studied, as are the differences in the Coulomb energies of nuclei constituting isobaric-analog multiplets. The spectra of 8 Li and 8 He nuclei, as well as the energy levels of the 8 Be nucleus with isospin T = 1 and 2, are investigated. A joint study of isobaric-analogue multiplets of the nuclei under study, involving both theoretical and experimental data in the analysis, provides a detailed, high-quality and reliable description of the spectra of the nuclei under study.
