This article demonstrates spatial organization and social integration in modern hotels, highlighting architectural design trends and digital technologies.
The article considers comprehensive issues of the architectural formation of modern hotels, their typological characteristics, specific planning and spatial features in the structure of the urban environment. The meanings of terms and concepts related to the contemporary understanding of hotel buildings and complexes have been clarified. New typological features in the formation of modern hotel architecture and outlines promising directions for their spatial organization and functional structure within existing urban spaces are determined. The development of innovative approaches to the comprehensive architectural design of modern hotels is importance, and they aim to create multifunctional spaces that should be integrated into the social, cultural, and economic in the structure of the city. This transformation highlights the need to refine fundamental definitions and calls for a rethinking of the typology of contemporary hotels, including their qualitative functional content, spatial organization, and relationship to their location within the urban structure. In this context, special attention should be given to the rational use of planning schemes, compliance with typological characteristics, and the implementation of advanced engineering and spatial design solutions. Integration of innovative and digital technologies that enhance guest “hospitality” and improve the comfort level for all categories of hotel visitors are the most important. Emphasis is placed on the growing differentiation of hotel types in accordance to emerging formats of hospitality, namely, including lifestyle-, boutique-, hybrid-, eco-, and smart-hotels that contribute to the development of new architectural and spatial concepts and models of interaction with the urban environment. It has been determined that the comprehensive organization of modern hotels plays a crucial role in ensuring guest convenience and the efficiency of service operations. High-quality spatial zoning enables the optimization of space, the separation of areas for different types of activities, and the creation of comfortable conditions for all guests. Thus, in the contemporary urban context, the hotel is integrated system which are combined into an united spatial model at enhancing the role of the facility within the urban environment.
