Abstract

ABSTRACT Pan beriberi should be considered in young patients with unexplained acute heart failure, neurological deficits, and gastrointestinal pseudo‐obstruction, particularly in malnutrition or chronic alcohol use. Early clinical recognition and prompt high dose thiamine therapy can be lifesaving, even where laboratory confirmation is unavailable.
