Abstract:Introduction: Dental caries in primary incisors are common in early childhood caries, and patients prefer esthetic restoration as well as cost effective restorations. Where the strip crowns play a major role in anterior restorations, which are available in transparent plastics .These plastic tend to get dis-coloured while exposed to the environmental conditions like sun light, humid, dust if not stored properly and show a yellow tint. Previous investigations have demonstrated improved optical qualities when silicon dioxide nanoparticles . Bamboo is a resource of silica. Thus, the goal of this study is to incorporate silicon dioxide derived from bamboo to increase the color stability of strip crown . Evaluate the differences between colour stability of conventional strip crown and modified strip crown incorporated with bamboo extractMaterials and procedure: Sixty celluloid sheets were made measuring 150 mm X150 mm X 2 mm, six of which were of conventional celluloid sheets (Group A) and six for each group, which were of bio-silicone dioxide incorporated celluloid sheets (Group B) at various concentrations (0.5%, 1%, 2%, and 3%). Then a 1000-hour natural weathering process is undergone, the samples' color stability was assessed.Result: Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS software. To reduce the risk of Type I errors, an ANOVA test with a significance level of 0.01 was used to check if there were significant differences in color stability among the groups. If the p-value was less than 0.01, it would indicate that the null hypothesis—stating that all group means are equal—was not true. Before performing the ANOVA, an F-test was conducted to confirm that the variances across groups were similar.Conclusion: This study found that 0.5% bio-silica-modified celluloid sheets offer the best color stability after 1000 hours of artificial aging, making it the most suitable concentration for improved performance.
