Afrofuturism is a contemporary cultural movement that explores African identity through futuristic lenses. In Benin, this field of study has emerged as an important area for understanding future-oriented perspectives on African development. A structured questionnaire was administered online, targeting individuals with varying socio-economic statuses. The survey covered themes such as technological advancements, environmental sustainability, cultural preservation, and economic prosperity within an Afrofuturist framework. The findings indicate that there is a strong interest in the integration of traditional African practices with modern technology to achieve sustainable development goals (46% of respondents). This study highlights the importance of incorporating Afrofuturism into academic research on Africa, particularly as it relates to future-oriented perspectives and policy-making. Researchers should consider integrating Afrofuturist concepts more broadly in their studies of African futures, especially within Benin's unique context.
